I generally just have business contacts on there right now and some news items I follow. Honestly, I don't read everything. I have it on my browser and I glance over every so often and read through the top ones, comment if I feel the need and go back to work. I do think you could get really bogged down trying to follow everything.

I also only follow like 200 or so right now, so it seems manageable still. I can't imagine these people that follow thousands!

Isn't it difficult to check three different streams?

How do you keep all your tweet streams apart? I find it fantastic but find that I really need to split it into three groups so I don't miss anything - news, personal contacts and business contacts - or are you just incredibly well organised?

Agreed! I agree with your synopsis. The connections can be very informative and valuable. Like any tool, one needs to use it correctly. It's obvious that you are doing just that. It's been nice to connect. You have a lot of valuable info on your blog, which I wouldn't have known about it not for Twitter.
