MySpace Just Won’t Die
I keep thinking MySpace is on its way out, especially with Facebook overtaking it in unique visitors earlier this year, but good grief, it just won’t go away.
New numbers from comScore show that MySpace had its highest number of unique visitors to date in the month of July: 75.2 million. Come on, people, who’s still going there instead of Facebook? If it’s you, please tell me why. I just don’t understand…
I guess it does look some better since they upgraded the design. I can stand it just a little more, but it’s still no Facebook.
Die, MySpace, die…

Ok, this is spooky! Apparently at the same time you were writing Die MySpace, I was writing How to Save MySpace
What can I say, great minds think alike?
Be sure to check out Simon’s post. He’s got some really great things to say about the whole MySpace vs. Facebook debate, including comparing them to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. I mean, don’t you just have to read it now?
Well, in answer to your question I agree Facebook is the better app — from my perspective. But “Die, MySpace?!”
There’s room for both, I think, and both serve their purpose. Facebook may morph into more the business app (already is heading that way). I mean, I want the option between WalMart and Target, you know?
OK, maybe I AM being a tad harsh
. I suppose it is useful for some, and you’re right, and Simon made this point too in his post, it’s good to have competition out there. It probably helps keep Facebook on its toes.
Competition is good, yes. But it’s okay to pull for someone to win.
I’ll pull for facebook. I personally can’t stand myspace’s look, functionality, etc. Not to mention I’m not about to support Newscorp. LOL
Nice blog post. Keep it up.

Thanks Kris. (Go Facebook!)
I agree with you Lyn, I’m not a Myspace fan. Facebook is so much cleaner and organized!
As well as a great social networking tool!
